4 nights 5 days tour

Day 1: Arrival at Paro, drive to Thimphu

Guests to be received at Paro airport by representatives. Briefly visit Paro town before heading to Thimphu (1.5 hrs) for lunch. After lunch, visit Kuenselphodrang (host to one of the world’s largest Buddha statues) & Takin Preserve. 



Day 2: Thimphu – Punakha

After breakfast, sightseeing at Thimphu. Visit Tashichhodzong (office of the King of Bhutan & seat of head abbot), the painting school, Folk Heritage Museum & Memorial Chorten. Thereafter drive to Punakha, approximately 2.5 hours from Thimphu. On the way, stop at Dochula pass (3,100m) for lunch and view of mountain range and visit the 108 chortens (stupas). Night halt in Punakha.



Day 3: Punakha – Wangdue Phodrang - Paro

Breakfast at Punakha. In Punakha, visit the age old Punakha Dzong and Chimmi Lhakhang, temple of fertility built by Lam Drukpa Kuenley, the divine madman. A visit to Chimi Lhakhang is believed to bless infertile women and help them conceive. Sightseeing around the valley and visit Khamsum Yulley Namgyel Lhakhang, followed by a brief visit to Wangdue Phodrang. Visit the local market. The district of Wangdiphodrang is also famous for its bamboo products, slate and stone carvings. Drive back to Paro. On the way, lunch stop at Dochula cafeteria, amongst the exquisite view of the mountain ranges. Arrive in the evening at Paro and visit Paro dzong (fortress) and Ta Dzong (National Museum). 



Day 4: Hike to Taktshang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest), Paro

After early breakfast at hotel, climb to Taktshang monastery, located on a 3000 foot cliff overlooking Paro valley and believed to be one of the meditation sites of Guru Rinpoche. The climb takes around 3 hours and descent around 2 hours for a total hike time of 5 hours. Lunch can either be packed or served at the cafeteria en route to the monastery. 



Day 5: Depart from Paro

Early morning after breakfast, drive to Paro airport for boarding onward flight to destination.  can write articles, long mission statements, company policies, executive profiles, company awards/distinctions, office locations, shareholder reports, whitepapers, media mentions and other pieces of content that don’t fit into a shorter, more succinct space.
